John Lowes  Partner

John graduated from the Queensland University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts and in 1981 with a Bachelor of Laws.

He has practised as a solicitor for over thirty years concentrating on all aspects of property and small business law.

John gained Specialist Accreditation in the area of Property Law from the Queensland Law Society in 2002. He is one of only 25 solicitors out of more than 7,000 practitioners in Queensland who holds this qualification. He has since been appointed to the Specialist Accreditation Board by the Law Society.

John has acted on:

• sales and purchases of city office buildings, regional shopping centres, industrial and commercial developments and residential and commercial subdivisions
• leasing commercial office space, retail centres and industrial sites
• strata titled developments
• sales and purchases of businesses and companies

John's clientele include:

• property developers
• an international franchise chain
• a regional airport
• businesses of various types including manufacturers, service providers and a wide range of professionals

Over a period of 11 years, John built up the firm of Lowes & Co at Indooroopilly. At the time of its merger with Shand Taylor Lawyers on 1 July 2007, there were five lawyers and a para-legal plus seven support staff.

Prior to Lowes & Co, John was a partner for 8 years in an international law firm.
