Emma Lewis is a Law Graduate currently completing a rotation in our dispute resolution team. Emma holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Business (Distinction) majoring in public relations from the Queensland University of Technology where she was a Vice Chancellor’s Scholar. She is currently undertaking the Trainee Solicitor Program through the Queensland University of Technology.
During her studies, Emma worked for an employer association where she provided assistance on industrial relations and contract issues relevant to the building and construction industry. She also worked as a law clerk in a small law firm assisting in conveyancing, wills and estates, and debt recovery matters.
As part of the commercial team at Shand Taylor Lawyers, Emma is involved in a wide range of legal matters involving property development, commercial leasing, residential conveyancing, and business services.
Emma is committed to learning the ropes of what it takes to be a great lawyer and finding commercial solutions to complex legal issues faced by clients. She is also excited to move towards her admission as a solicitor in early 2021.
Outside of her role at Shand Taylor Lawyers, Emma is the secretary of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland (WLAQ) and volunteers at the Brisbane North Community Legal Service.
