Ruby Nielsen is an Associate within our dispute resolution team. Ruby holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in criminology and psychology from the University of Queensland.
Ruby acts in a broad range of commercial disputes and litigation matters including employment, property and construction disputes, shareholder disputes, competition, and consumer law disputes, land resumption claims, valuation objections, debt recovery, and insolvency matters, representing clients in federal and state courts, tribunals and commissions.
Ruby has a particular interest in employment law and industrial relations, acting for employer and employee clients in unfair dismissal and adverse action claims, redundancy and termination of employment disputes, breach of contract claims, enforcing and defending restraint of trade claims, sexual harassment, and underpayment claims. She also advises employers and employees on the conduct of workplace investigations, performance management of employees, and modern award interpretation. Ruby regularly assists clients with the preparation of employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, and workplace policies.
Ruby acts for a diverse range of clients including ASX listed and private companies of all sizes, not for profit organizations and individuals across a range of industries including in the construction, hospitality, real estate, medical and retail sectors.
Ruby brings a detailed, commercial, and common sense approach to resolving disputes by providing realistic solutions to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
