Charlie is a senior associate in our dispute resolution team.  Charlie advises clients in general commercial disputes in state and federal jurisdictions including:

 

• insolvency and debt recovery;

• property and leasing disputes;

• competition and consumer law disputes;

• professional disciplinary matters; and

• company and partnership disputes.

A key area of Charlie’s practice is advising clients in insolvency and debt recovery disputes. Charlie is experienced in matters involving liquidations, bankruptcies, receiverships, voluntary administrations and deeds of company arrangement. Charlie regularly advises insolvency practitioners such as liquidators, administrators and bankruptcy trustees as well as individual and company creditors and company directors on a variety of insolvency related issues.

His debt recovery advice extends to clients such as retail and commercial landlords and suppliers of goods and services, where his knowledge of debt recovery processes allows him to give commercial, straight forward advice. This includes advice relating to the enforcement of commercial contracts and consideration of competition and consumer law, personal property securities and property and leasing issues.

Charlie is also experienced in disciplinary proceedings, where he has acted for professionals across a variety of fields in claims brought by regulatory bodies in relation to workplace conduct. Charlie also acts for directors, shareholders and partners in company disputes.

 

Charlie’s focus is to ensure his clients are fully aware of all risks and options available by working with them closely and treating each case individually on its merits.
