Rachael Nyst - Lawyer

Rachael NystRachael is a lawyer in our commercial and estate planning team with over six years’ experience acting for private clients.  Rachael holds a Bachelor of Business (Distinction) and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Rachael practices across the areas of estate planning, succession law, revenue effective structuring, business succession planning, taxation and asset protection law, and provides strategic and practical advice in all of these areas for family groups, individuals, business owners and private companies.

Rachael’s experience includes:


  • drafting wills;
  • advice on tax and stamp duty;
  • advice on trusts and structuring;
  • drafting shareholder and partnership agreements; and
  • drafting share sale agreements.


In particular, Rachael has extensive experience in advising on transfer duty, landholder duty, corporate trustee duty and additional foreign acquirer duty across a variety of jurisdictions around Australia.  Rachael has assisted clients in minimising their stamp duty exposure on multi-jurisdictional business sales and major transactions and has also successfully obtained many favourable corporate reconstruction rulings from revenue offices around Australia.
