Planning Scheme, Policy, and Legislative Impacts: providing practical and commercial advice to clients on the impacts of the State Planning Policy, local laws, planning schemes, planning scheme policies, and regional planning requirements as well as obligations under relevant town planning legislation with respect to various environmental regulations. Vegetation Management: advising clients on their rights and obligations under the vegetation clearing and management provisions of local, State, and Federal laws.

Koala Conservation: assisting clients to understand the complex and layered law with respect to koalas and other significant fauna in the local, State, and Commonwealth context.

EPBC: advice on environmental impact assessment including assessment under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act.

Environment Protection Legislation: assisting clients on responsibilities under the environmental legislation including environmental licensing and preparation and implementation of environmental management plans.

Contaminated Land and Waste Management: advising on contaminated land issues including remediation and removal of land from the environmental management register.

Water: advising developers of new large residential developments on the classification of watercourses and downstream discharge obligations of owners. Preparing a range of easements for water including complex volumetric easements for flood storage and stormwater management and advising clients on, and negotiating with authorities about, flood mitigation measures to future proof development.

Environmental Offences and Prosecutions: acting for clients with respect to threatened or issued enforcement notices and environmental protection orders. This generally includes liaising with government departments, nearby landowners, and other stakeholders to achieve prompt and commercial outcomes. Also acting for developers who have commenced or are subject to Court prosecutions where that is necessary to achieve their desired goals.

Environmental Nuisance: advising on various matters associated with the impacts of environmental nuisance including noise disturbance, air pollution, and water and land contamination. Achieving solutions in all instances including the application of setbacks, environmental covenants, and neighbour agreements.
